It's Really Happening!

I started packing to move out of my apartment today.  I'll finish packing up, starting moving tomorrow, and finish moving hopefully wednesday morning.  The plan was for me to stay in the house Ben and I will be leaving in and he would stay at Grandpa and Marge's place.  But, since our house doesn't have a bed (or any furniture) yet, and I would be there by myself, Ben decided I'd better stay at Grandpa's and he would sleep on the floor at the house.  I'm glad he thought of that idea.  It will save me from a lot of anxiety at night.

School starts next tuesday, I'm going through the temple in  2 fridays and the wedding is in 3 fridays!

So, whether you can believe it or not, it is really happening.

a new kind of food storage...

So Ben is lactose intolerant and I'm Celiac... great combination, right? Surprisingly enough, we've been eating meals everyday together that both of us can actually eat! One of my personal favorites is smoothies! Smoothies can get expensive but we have succeeded in saving hundreds of dollars!

My freezer is now stuffed full of frozen fruit that we have gotten for such great deals. My freezer now contains: 5 gallon bags of bananas (40 lb.s for $5 at Macey's yesterday), 1 1/4 gallon of grapes, 1/2 gallon apricots, 2 gallons plums, pineapple, peaches, and some other mixed fruit. I am proud to say that we have estimated this to be a year to 2 year's supply of fruit for smoothies at a grand total cost of approx. $10!! AMAZING... is it not??

GIVING IN and getting SUCKED IN

Ok, So I finally gave in and became a blogger... my supervisors are always having fun with it at work and my sisters always want me to check theirs so, now I'm all excited about having a blog! I'm getting married in 33 days so, just as a warning, most of my blogs will probably be about wedding stuff or newly wed things or whatever because that's basically my life right now (besides work).
I do have to brag about one thing, though. I'm just learning how to be a homemaker cook and I have now made 2 delicious meals that were each a success! Two days ago, I made my own version of Shepherd's Pie. It was really simple, but delicious! Anyway, Ben and I were eating it and he thought it was so good that he even said it was better than his mom's shepherd's pie! I was beside myself in shock, haha, because I didn't think he was even going to like it!
